  2019-06-13: Progress on Nano-CeO2-Modified Cathodes for Direct Electrochemical CO2 Reduction in Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells
Our group fabricated CeO2-modified La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3--Gd0.1Ce0.9O1.95 cathodes to improve CO2 electrochemical reduction performance by infiltration method. This work has been published in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, 2019, 7, 9629-9636.

  2019-06-10: Progress on Solid oxide electrolysis cells for CO2 electroreduction
Our group revealed the negative effect of Ni doping into SrFe1.5Mo0.5O6-d as cathode for CO2 electroreduction in solid oxide electrolysis cells. Ni doping decreases the perovskite stability under electroreduction conditions, Fe and Ni cations in the B-site are reduced to metal nanoparticles and SrCO3 forms on the surface of the perovskite. Our group developed a novel amphiphilic metal-organic framework nanosheet membrane with poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) nanoparticles to serve as cross-linkers.   2019-04-22: Progress on dual-phase membrane reactor for hydrogen separation
Our group designed and prepared a new membrane material Ce0.85Sm0.15O1.925 - Sr2Fe1.5Mo0.5O6-δ (SDC-SFM) for hydrogen separation. It exhibited high performance and good tolerance to CO2 and H2S impurities. The membrane reactor was operated steadily for 532 h under atmospheres containing CO2 and H2S impurities. NiFe-based electrocatalysts undergo a structural transformation and progressive oxidation during the oxygen evolution reaction (OER).   2019-01-28: Progress on energy-efficient coproduction of two kinds of synthesis gases in MIEC membrane reactor
Our group prepared an asymmetric dual-phase oxygen-permeable membrane for the coproduction of H2/N2 and H2/CO synthesis gases. Excellent performance, outstanding membrane material stability and an energy saving high up to 66.5% were achieved.   2018-12-14: Progress on Hydrogen Separation Process in Oxygen-Permeable Membrane Reactors
Our group prepared and tested three membranes with different thicknesses and structural types to study the effect of membrane thickness and structural type on their hydrogen separation performance, which offered guidance for the subsequent study on improving the performance of the membrane reactor.   2018-08-25: Progress on CO Removal in Propane Selective Oxidation Process
Our group synthesized a series of binary and ternary transition metal oxides and employed them for the preferential removal of CO in the effluent stream of propane selective oxidation.   2018-06-14: Progress on Metal-Organic Framework-Based Mixed Matrix Membranes
Our group synthesized defect-free of ZIF-8/P84 mixed matrix membranes with good interphase compatibility. Membranes displayed remarkably improved CO2/CH4 separation performances, indicative of a synergetic effect of the selective adsorption and molecular sieving property arising from ZIF-8 nanoparticle fillers.   2018-03-09: Progress on Selective Oxidation of Light Alkanes
Our group investigated the effect of V-containing precursors on the structure of Cs-salt phosphomolybdates and catalytic performance of isobutane oxidation. Three effects can be traced back to the precursors: surface acidity, the location of V species and ratio of V4+/V5+ and Mo5+/Mo6+ redox couples. Our group synthesized the in-plane oriented AEL molecular sieve film using one-step ionothermal method by interface chemistry of substrate-solution. ​On December 11, 2017, we finished zeolite membrane separation system for dewatering of ethanol with scale of 100,000 T/a. The produced anhydrous ethanol meet with the requirements of GB/T678-2002 standard. The zeolite membrane used in the separation system was synthesized with microwave heating which was first developed by our group in 1999. This separation system is the largest zeolite membrane facility in the world.
