It is found that a volcanic-type correlation between the catalytic activity and the ZnO loading was observed, in which 2Zn/TS-1 catalyst exhibited the highest conversion of propane and selectivity to propylene due to the appropriate number of acid sites and acidic strength. Furthermore, it can improve the stability of Zn/TS-1 catalyst due to the strong interaction between Zn2+ and Mg2+, Zr2+. The loss of active Zn species on the used catalysts can be suppressed by regeneration treatment in air, in which the interaction between the Zn2+ and TS-1 support could become stronger.
