Our group proposed a method of loading oxygen reduction catalysts (Pt, β-MnO2, etc.) on the nickel hydroxide cathode, and prepared a "breathable" nickel hydroxide cathode (Ni-ZnAB); the oxygen generated during the charging process can It is used by the oxidation catalyst during the discharge process to improve the energy conversion efficiency of the battery. At the same time, thanks to the utilization of by-products by Ni-ZnAB, both the electrode and the electrolyte are stabilized, and the stability of the battery is improved. The assembled soft-pack battery (45 mAh) can achieve high stability of 100 h at 2 mA cm-2, and the average energy efficiency is 85%. This work has been published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed
