Our group reported synthesis of ultrathin oriented MOF membrane via in-situ interfacial assembly method. The membranes exhibited the permeance of H2 with 6300-10680 GPU and H2 selectivity toward CO2 of up to 86.5, far transcending the Robeson’s upper bound for H2/CO2 separation. This ultra-H2-permeable MOF membranes with high selectivity show great promise for energy-efficient separations.
