Research

     Prof. Weishen YangĄ¯s group research mainly focus on the synthesis and application of inorganic membranes and new catalytic materials in solving different energy problems, which includes:

1. Alternative Energy
    Oxygen permeable membrane used for syngas production from partial oxidation of nature gas

2. Renewable Energy
    Zeolite membrane used for ethanol purification from fermentation or FT synthesis

3. Clean Energy
    Hydrogen permeable membrane for pure H2 production

4. Advanced Energy
    Hydrogen and/or oxygen permeable membrane used as electrodes of SOFC


    Prof. Yang has over 160 refereed journal publications, 2 invited review articles, 16 patents and 20 invited lectures in academia and industry around the world in inorganic membranes and catalysis. Prof. Yang's services to the scientific community include serving as a referee for around 15 international journals, and as chairman or the International Scientific Committee Member of International Conference on Catalytic Reaction in Membrane Reactor (2002, 2004, 2005, 2007), International Conference on Inorganic Membranes (2002, 2004, 2006, 2008), and International Conference on Membrane Processes (2005).
